problems with template

Hi All,
I bought this template from
zen-ca rt-power.net/elec tronics-templa te.html


I installed it on my new install of Zen Cart V1.3.9h and after following all the install instructions.

The template showed up correctly. When I added a product with 2 images say HU100UL_01_LRG.jpg and HU100UL_02_LRG.jpg

The images do not appear in the Images tab of the products page
as in the demo

The template did not come with any other instructions.
What am I doing wrong. ?

These are questions best asked of the people who sold you the template. Unfortunately, it isn't unusual for commercial Zencart templates to behave differently on your site than they do in the demo.

I agree it's unusual for a template to behave as such. Unfortunately the people who sold the template have not replied to any of my questions. That seems a dead end... hence asking on this forum.

The additional images are appearing for me.

Third sad story I've heard in as many weeks, with this crowd.

Their site should be a BIG RED FLAG to everyone... No SSL, No Physical Address, No Phone Number...

Keep well away from sites that are not keen on identifying themselves.

I'd join in bashing the company that sold you such a worthless template, but I left my bashing stick out in the Prius and it's too cold to go get it.

In the meantime, if you look at the images on the demo site they all follow the correct naming convention. The first pic is called something_evo-4G.jpg
and the additional images are called something_evo-4G_01.jpg
something_evo-4G_02.jpg
something-evo-4G-03.jpg
All additional images start with the full name of the primary image, and then have an extra # or letter.


But you said you have two pics:
HU100UL_01_LRG.jpg and HU100UL_02_LRG.jpg

IF your first pic is
HU100UL_01_LRG.jpg
Then your second pic does not have a valid name to be considered an additional image. Additional images must start with the entire name of the primary image. Your two names don't fit the bill. Now if your primary image name was HU100UL.jpg, then both of your images would work as additional images.

I did make a big mistake and didn't check the SLL, Physical Address, Phone Number were not there.

I think somewhere we should have red flag areas to list where to avoid all types of places, to do, etc ... Just a thought.

I got the picture working;

As JoeJoeJoe said the pictures were incorrectly named.

I took a chance an installed Image Handler 2 as this takes care of all the images and its naming. It did the trick.

So the problem was to do with image names.
