Odd EZ Page Problem

I've created needed pages such as Rental Information and Sizing Chart and embedded them in tpl_footer.php so they appear on every page.

Now none of them go to the proper page. They all somehow get redirected to the main page.

I'm not even sure when this started happening because I have been working on other aspects of the website. They worked before because I tested the links as I was adding them to the footer.

Anybody know what could be causing this?

They are redirecting to your main page because you are getting "404 page not found" errors.

Odd, yes... I don't see anything wrong with your links.


The question is, why are the pages not being found, even internal link pages like Contact Us?

I didnt touch any of the links since I got them working. I an in Admin now and they are all there with the correct content.

Beyond EZ pages the other problem is Contact isnt working either. Why would internal pages get a 404?

define_contact_us.php is NOT missing and is also in the correct folder.


BUT adding to the mystery, the CONTACT US link above the footer section WORKS!

In Admin, missing pages are set to go to define_page_not_found.php and the file is there and in the correct folder.

I went to Contact Us from the link above the footer and sent a message to myself and when the message sent, the 'Success' page appeared as it should.

Guys... I know what it is. I moved the /store/ to the root directory.

Crap, I'm so sorry to waste your time. I forgot to update the hard-coded links in the footer...

That would have been a good reason to be using the Ezpages Footer Columns mod... it would give the links dynamically and would have automatically compensated for the move.

Of course, so would simply making relative links in your hard-coded table... Zen Cart's <base href> would have completed them appropriately.

Awesome mod and the support thread is very helpful. I would use this instead of hardcoding URLs.

We did that back in the old osC days and in the end it made a mess.
