    help question Trying To Figure Out Where This Area of CSS Is

    Hi everyone :)

    I just want to say that I am very thankful for this cart & have been able to address any technical issues (which have not been much at all) by using the FAQs & search function on the forums. So far this cart appears very promising!

    I am just about to launch my shop live, but there is a minor tweak in the CSS code that I need to make and am unable to figure out exactly WHERE I should be doing this exactly.

    It happens when you get to the part where you are done shopping and are now ready to sign up with your details.

    As you can see (I have attached a screen shot for you), the layout is simple black and white. The titles for the areas that the customer must fill out are black, and it's a black background. Needless to say I'm trying to figure out how to turn these titles WHITE ;) I've (obviously) figured out where the .css files to edit are in the templates folder but this area in particular (these title areas) I just can't figure out. Maybe it is not even in there and I should manually add it in myself?

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    You could add this to your stylesheet:

    #createAccountForm legend {color: #FFFFFF;}

    For future reference, install the Firefox browser and the Web Developer plugin for Firefox. You can use those to see where in the stylesheet you change the styling of the various page elements.

    Ctrl-Shift-Y will allow you to hover over a section of the page and see the class and id names for that section in the box at the top. The statements in the stylesheet that begin with # are id's and the ones that begin with dots are classes.

    Ctrl-Shift-E will open the CSS editor and allow you to edit the stylesheet and see the changes in real time without changing anything permanently. An essential tool.

    Some prefer Firebug, which does much the same thing.

    (If you're using Firefox 4-8, you'll need to remap the editor shortcut, since Firefox has appropriated Ctrl-Shift-E for an internal function - I use Ctrl-Shift-Q.)

    Chrome also has an inspect element feature built-in.

    Opera Browser has some 49 web dev add ons
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Play with it long enough and you will break it.
