Chadd, you are right, I'm just missing one last important step > to 'import' the file after the 'upload'.
Truly sorry for the careless.
So just to clarify here.
I added the 'products_family' into Congfiguration > EP4 > User Defined Products Fields.
In the Tool > EP4 > User Defined Products Fields > products_family: TRUE (showing on right hand panel)
Export > download > upload > import are working well.
Hello Chad,
I'm trying to integrate the store that I maintain with Google Shopping.
I haven't been successful with any of the feed generators and Google has changed their feed requirements lately too, so those are out of date.
I've used EP4 a ton in the recent year and it's helped tremendously.
I wonder if it's possible to make EP4 generate something out of the ordinary?
Google requires an attribute for each product that EP4 does not currently support/generate, the 'item link' attribute.
Understandably, their feed requires a direct link to each product. From what I understand of the ZenCart db structure, the item link is not handled in any particular way as an attribute.
Can you hack that in some how?
My only other option seems to be URL re-writing to universalize links (if that's even possible) and just linking to www.site.com/products/id=14384
That seems way more cumbersome than an EP4 solution.
Just let me know!
Bump... :)
All I would need is for EP4 to export the back-end product_id that corresponds to each product. I could take it from there. :)
Have you considered Ceon's URI mapping tool? This would give you what I think you are looking for. The next step would be a way to export that URI...
Sorry for the late response. Been buries, and it seems since the new website facelift that I don't consistently get notified of new posts

Thanks Chad,
I'm making some progress. Apparently, I can just link to http://www.site.com/index.php?main_p...ducts_id=11022 for each product.
I've been able to query the db to generate product ids along with the other data I need for this.
I'm sure there is an easier way though. :)
So I'm evaluating/testing mass product uploader add-ons. I am looking at using this with Stock by Attributes, and need to be able to update the stock with product attributes table. There is a variant of the 1.2.x version of Easy Populate which was modified to update the SBA table.. But is seems that EP 4.0 is very different so I cannot use EP version as a "template" to achieve what I am trying to achieve.
I've read through this ENTIRE support thread (yep ALL 51 pages as of this writing..) I know that these threads: http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...t-Thread/page5
http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...-Thread/page21 speak to adding new product fields, and I also know that Easy Populate now supports custom product table fields (rendering those two threads obsolete??) But there is nothing that speaks to uploading product data into other tables..
Hoping this is doable.. How would one go about updating fields in other Zen Cart tables with Easy Populate??

Hi Diva!
Well, the custom products fields only work with the products table. If the is a special table for stock by attributes, I'd need the details on that. Depending on the complexity of that add on, it may be "easy" to add a new table to the logic ... send me a pm and perhaps we can work on this off line. I am a tad busy at the moment, but there is always a free time here and there...
You read all 51 pages? :0
