We need to cancel a customer's order since they would like to order a more expensive item. However, they used a Gift Cert for their order.
Question: if we cancel their current order (there is no way to amend the order... duh!) and do a new order:
1) Will their Gift Cert balance be reinstated to their account or
2) Will the Gift Cert remain 'redeemed' regardless of the order status?
If the GC reinstates,we can ask the customer to redo their order for the larger purchase. If not, we have to do the order manually since their original GC amount needs to be deducted from the new order.
