Upgrading from a new install of 1.3.9h?

I looked through the upgrade forums and didn't find anything that would answer this question ...

I am new, so bear with me here please. Here's my situation ...

I installed a new version of ZenCart to my hosting site using the SIMPLE SCRIPTS. It is version 1.3.9. Not sure why it isn't 1.5, but that's beside the point.

I have not done a thing with my store yet, so I want to update it to the latest version before I start setting up the actual store information in the admin area.

Can I just copy the 1.5 version over the 1.3.9 version, since I haven't done any actual setup of anything within the 1.3.9 version?

I'm just not familiar with the database stuff yet, so will the new 1.5 version use the databases already setup by the SimpleScripts install. I haven't put anything in them yet.

Or do I still need to do all the stuff in the upgrade file instructions?

Or what???

Best thing to do is delete that installation, including the database, and install version 1.5.0 manually. I don't recommend using auto-installers at all. You learn a little about how Zencart files and folders are arranged by doing the installation manually - information that will be handy down the road when you're styling and configuring your store.
