Default Images questions Thumbs and Larger Newbie Question

I've been reading around trying to get an understanding of this.

I've read the How do I add multiple images to a product? in the tutorials secton.

I've tried searching to the point of not really knowing what to search for anymore.

    Ok, now for my issue:

How do I get my larger image to show when I click on the thumbnail. I renamed the large image with _LRG and uploaded to the same image folder.

I am just working on getting images set now.

I want to get this right before I make many images.

The link to the only product I have loaded is at

    http://choice-home-decor.com/index.p...&products_id=1

The only image I actually want to show on the page is the thumb image and I want to be able to click on the thumbnail and have the larger image show.

    Hope this makes sense.

You have both images loaded in the /clocks directory. The large image should go in clocks/large. Or, you could install Image Handler from the downloads section and it will take care of this stuff without the need to create multiple sizes.

    Thanks Resco, another questions though.

Would I need to leave my larger image with the _LRG or remove the _LRG in the /large folder?

The only reason that I am resizing is to cut down on file sizes. The larger images are big files.

How well does Image Handler resize? I tried just uploading images from my files for the products and they just didn't resize very well.

You can do it either way, but leaving the _LRG helps to avoid confusion.

    Extremely well.

I just realized something. It wouldn't be clocks/large. It would be large/clocks.

    That worked. Thanks Resco

I'm going to try out the image handler.

It's a sweet mod. And the author wrote what is probably the best set of instructions ever.
