Then you discover something (ostensibly) cool like Slimbox, but I'm starting (duh) to learn that before going with ANY mod around here, you've got to research it very carefully, to find if it isn't as cool as it seems.

Glad that worked out for you.. I prefer Zen Lightbox because it just offers more options fo rhte lightbox effect.. The current maintainer of Zen Lightbox will be releasing a Colorbox add-on very soon (not to be confused with a different author's Colorbox add-on)

Though I don't use it anymore, Fual Slimbox is still a pretty cool simple lightbox add-on.. I'm sure someone will come along and post a solution to the current issue.. Honestly though even without the buttons it still works..

Sorry to be late to this thread. Been operating off an iPad while trying to get major computer meltdowns fixed.

The current issue is that the files were not compared properly when an addition was made to the code I submitted previously to this mod.

The additional images file submitted with 2.1.0a specifically blocks the extra images feature from happening.

IH, ZL, and FSB unfortunately use the same file to adjust the operation of additional images. Previously, all three worked well with each other.

Most of my backups are corrupt so it will take me a while to gather my data, but I will be working more on this. As DivaVocals says, FSB is a simple but effective add-on that should be available and operational for those that don't need fancy.

Not sure what a proper comparison should have consisted of, but in testing FSB with IH4, I compared the additional_images.php file to the one that comes with Zen Lightbox using Beyond Compare (which is an excellent file comparison tool). That's when I noticed that the additional_images.php file that came with FSM v2.1.0 included code from older versions of Zen Cart (v1.3.8 and v1.3.9) including the obsolete "ereg_replace" function which was also removed from the default Zen Cart v1.5 version of the additional_images.php file.

That the "Next" and "Prev" buttons are no longer functioning was unintentional, and I am not entirely sure how that would be based on the changes I made.. I am pretty sure I didn't remove any key functions from this file.. Those of us testing FSB with IH4 did not pick this up, but I'm not sure any of us did anything more than to make sure that the lightbox effect showed when installing FSB with IH4.. So it's possible that we may not have realized that the "Next" and "Prev" buttons were no longer functioning.

That said restoring the old v2.1.0 file is not the total right answer either as it does indeed contain old code and deprecated functions..

I don't know if I said exactly this, but certainly FSB is a lightbox solution that should be available for those who want to use it.. I personally find that I now prefer/need solutions that offer more lightbox options though..

installed several LB mods, cant get any to work. Uninstalled all and installed FS including patch and can not find gallery or anything of the sort in tools.

hello, i would just like to add a correction for utf-8 chars like greek.
so, i installed in a zen cart 1.5.1, the last slimbox, and i found out that greek chars where not showing properly. if anyone else has the same problem, just edit the tpl_modules_main_product_image.php found in the folder includes\templates\your_template\templates/
and edit the following lines to show utf-8 characters:

I don't believe this is needed if you have UTF annotated correctly in all the right places.

Yay! Fixed the Next Prev buttons issue. Sorry it took so long and I appreciate that this may be irrelevant now but it may help someone out.
