Backing up site and installing local test server with MAMP

So I downloaded my entire site to my computer (used Cyberduck).

I'm assuming now that I need to make a copy of my database (?). Using phpMyAdmin?

Also, once that is done I'm going to throw my site into the htdocs/local_test_site folder. Then do the same with my database stuff using phpMyAdmin.

Do I need to edit the configure.php file?
