Default any way to have joomla header and zc body?

    HI all,

I have a joomla based website where I need zencart to be combined. Is there a way to keep joomla header and have zencart body under joomla header so that the website looks seemless?

    Thank you for any feedback.

Id copy the code for the joomla header (or replicate it so it works without the need for the Joomla back end), and simply dump it into the header code of the Zencart store. Easy enough.

As dgent suggested, the easiest way would probably be to install Zencart to a subdirectory and style it to look like the Joomla site.

You can't install Zencart in a Joomla wrapper, as wrappers use iframes, and most payment modules don't work from within iframes.

Pls bear with my stupid question. So that means index.php? in template? or template/css/stylesheet.css ? Where could be those headers?

Depending on your template, probably tpl_top_nav. php, or tpl_header.php

Have you got a link to your Joomla site?

Joomla is a CMS (Content management system)
    Zen-Cart is a CMS.

    Choose one.

    Cheers
    Rod.

ps. At the risk of offending someone, Joomla has quite a nice cart add-on of its own, called VirtueMart.

Your Joomla header is just an image with text (and possibly the non-functional "pill menu"), so it would be very easy to replace most of /includes/templates/your_template/common/tpl_header.php with that.

Your side nav could easily enough be replicated with the Zen Cart ez-pages sidebox.
