Need to add Manufacturers Stock data to site

Hi,

I need to add a manufacturers stock availability feature to a Zen Cart site that has around 18,000 products. This feature will only be for products for one specific manufacturer which accounts for around 12,000 of the products. The returned stock data will need to display on the product page.

I have no clue where to start really.

These are the instructions I have from the manufacturer:

Accepts a pipe (|) separated list of itemcodes as a parameter named itemcodes. The Hafele item codes may not contain dots, but can have dashes (in the case of ‘dash numbers’)
The response will be a list of HTML line break separated values; a stock figure if available, lead time if out-of-stock or discontinued status.

Very specific requirement. I highly doubt you will find someone on here to code it for free as it seems very unique to you.

You can use Elance.com to find a paid developer that could develop something like this for you.
