Our Email Transport method is set to PHP and we run our site on a linux server.
"[email protected]" is almost certainly not an address of someone you want purchasing from your store.

Not sure if your being sarcastic or not haha...but [email protected] is just an example i didn't want to put the actual customers email on the forum for all to see.
Any ideas?
"recipients failed' is a result of the email server telling Zen Cart that the email server is rejecting that email address ... for whatever reason the email server has decided.
Contact the administrator of the email server to find out why the email server is complaining about the address.
