Define Pages Editor NOT Changing Page on Live Site

Hello all-

I am attempting to make some changes to my main page through the Define Pages editor. The editor saves the changes, or so it appears... the live site does not reflect the changes though.

It says that it is editing the file /includes/languages/english/html_includes/classic/define_main_page.php

However, when I checked the file on the FTP, it still shows the OLD content.

The editor shows the NEW content, even after logging out and back in again. So, clearly it changed some file...

Thoughts on how to fix this? Any help is much appreciated!

1) What template are you actually using? is it the classic template?
is there a file here
/includes/languages/english/html_includes/Your_Template/define_main_page.php
2) You hvae done the obvious, and cleared you browsers cache/cookies and rebooted and or tried toview the page with a different browser
3) Do your other define page update correctly eg shipping privacy etc

Sorry I missed your response. I forgot to subscribe to this thread to get notifications...

Anyway, to answer your questions:
1) I am working over "template_default" (I know...bad practice)
2) Yes, I've even tried at different locations, computers, etc.
3) No the other pages are not updating either

Also, I should add that the Category and Product Images are also not updating. I've had to add them to the directory manually.

Any ideas?

Im confused that the template you seem to be working from is 'template_default' but obviously its not the default template..

Go to your includes/templates folder and tell us what the names of the folders are in there.

You have the Classic template enabled, so your edited files should go in the classic folders.

When I right clicked on his buy now buttons they were in the template_default/images folder...

The source says he's using the Classic template. If he doesn't have the buttons copied to the classic folder, they should be accessed from where they are in template_default.
