Local Sales Tax Mod - Does it work for 1.5?

Hello,

I used to have the Local Sales Tax Mod installed on a 1.3.9 Zen Cart store, working perfectly. But now with the 1.5 update it seems it does not work properly.

This is the add-on I'm talking about:

Will this add-on be updated or what alternative do I have for local sales tax?
I only see one alternative and that is TaxCloud for 1.5, but has anybody used it with success?

Disclaimer: I don't use this mod and don't know it well.

But the answer is probably, no, if you can't see the author saying somewhere on this forum that they are updating it to 1.5 it probably is not happening.

You have a couple of options. Firstly, pay someone to update it. Secondly, update it yourself.

If the second option sounds impossible I would suggest that you'd probably be surprised. It will take some effort but it is not actually a testing process for most simple modules like this and the forum always supports people who will pitch in and try and help the community.

What does "not work properly" mean? I was able to make this work on 1.5.0 ... but don't remember what was needed over-and-above the admin_pages update.
