USPS Rate Quote Server Status

Rate quotes from USPS went wonky overnight and have now stopped completely. Our west coast customers are unable to purchase as this is the only option for them.
USPS.com rate quotes were down when I checked a while ago but are now up. However, our site is still unable to pull a quote. (a different server for us than their own site?)
Does anyone know if there was a software upgrade or if there's a location for server status news from them?

Did USPS institute something as of April 1? I can't find anything on their site and no one else seems to be having an issue?

On the shopping cart page, it comes up blank and on the checkout page it says:
United States Postal Service

We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
(Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)



UPS is working fine.

Turned on debug mode. This API has been retired. Use RateV4.

I am having the same problem. I have downloaded the fix, uninstalled and reinstalled the USPS shipping module and it still does not work. Did it work for you? Any tips? I appreciate any input, Thanks.

I too had my store stop working April 1st... after being too busy to pay attention to e-mails form USPS about RateV2 and V4.

I'm trying to sort out if the latest USPS module is what was mentioned here or the January 22 version as being discussed in:

which is where I have put it as a question.

Yes, it did work fine. Maybe it's your settings on the new one. Your account number, etc. Set debug mode to ON and email. Read and/or post the emails.

USPS $cre#ed again! No orders for a while so I went to look and, sure enough, USPS rate server is wreaking havoc. Anyone else? Another new update from them? If so, news to me.

There was an update for USPS around the end of July 2013.

Just loaded that update and it seems to have resolved the problem.
