GitHub version is working on php 8.0.14.
But the feed structure/contents may not be 100% up to date for current Google requirements.

I was using 1.14.7 until by Google Merchant Center started throwing XML formatting errors a few days ago. My products haven't changed, so perhaps Google has just become stricter? (I've just upgraded to the GitHub version 1.5.0 of this plugin to see if that would fix the problem but it hasn't made a difference.)

My problem appears to be words with French accents in my product descriptions - the Zen Cart description field encodes the symbol "e acute" (é) as "é" but for valid XML I think it needs to be "&# 233;" (remove the space before the 233; - it converted to é here without it!) - that's as far as I've got with the debugging so far!

I'm not 100% sure this is even the problem, but only products that have that character seem to be affected (unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible...)

Okay, I have at least confirmed that this is definitely the problem - I edited one product listing manually in the XML file and re-uploaded it, and that product was accepted and is formatted perfectly.

Hi PlanetJune, have you been able to fix the issue with the accents? I have also accents not appearing in my descriptions.
Where i have everything configured as utf8. Do we have a special setting file for it?

The Main branch on my Github should be working.
The 1.6 branch is in a halfway house....I got sidetracked so currently it's not in a useable state and I won't have time to fix anytime soon.

It should be working. It works on my site.
You'll need to install the 1.5 version, then remove all the files and use the 1.6 version + upgrade script. I just never got round to updating the installer.

Sorry hbhorses, I wasn't notified that you'd messaged me. My XML now validates correctly, but I can't remember exactly what I did to make that happen. I think it may have been when I globally changed all my tables to utf8mb4 instead of just utf8..?
