Why would paypal IPN stop working suddenly didnt change anything

Ive been using PayPal IPN

Using ZC1.38

Suddenly today i just got two orders in paypal but they didnt register in the site. The customers logins were recorded but the sale wasnt registered

Any ideas?

Im going to ask my hosting company if they did something to the firewall to stop my site communicating with paypal possiblly. What ports/settings would effect that on firewall?

What else could it be? I havent changed any settings on site or on paypal. THanks

If nothing has changed then it should all still work, therefore something must have been changed somewhere or other, good idea contacting your host. You could also check your files via ftp to see if anything files have been modified recently

When you say the sale wasn't registered do you mean it didn't go through on your site or that you didn't received the money in your paypal? Or both?

As davowave stated, If nothing has changed then it should all still work, therefore something must have been changed somewhere or other.

Two immediate possibilities spring to mind.

1) you host has upgraded something (probably PHP) that has introduced a compatibility problem,

or

2) You've been hacked.

You SHOULD NOT be running ZenCart V1.3.8 these days.

My money says it is option#2. I *hope I'm wrong*.

I was about to upgrade actually
I havent made any file changes to the site.
I dont think its been hacked.

I think maybe paypal has the shits. 2 ipns in a row didnt come through.

Ill upgrade my site shortly. Luckily i have a fileset which know isnt hacked

You also should switch to Paypal Express.
