    Default Form Incomplete Message

    In step 1 of checkout (Shipping Method) the UPS Ground button is preselected. I have noticed that ONLY SOMETIMES if I back up and then come back to this page, there will be no radio button preselected. This prevents you from being able to go to step 2. The first time his happened, I thought that something had locked up my site. It took me a while to see what the problem was.

    What I want to know is does Zen have the feature that most sites have, which is that it would display an appropriate message like "Please select a shipping option" when the form is incomplete. I would hope that this type of message would appear for any number of pages/forms that are filled out by the customer.

    This is a good suggestion and has already been done in the next release of Zen Cart ...

    Wow. I didn't know that a New Zenner could carry so much influence :-)

    Now, let's see if I can pry any hint of when this new release might come. I know, I know... the answer is always, "It comes when it comes". But can you even give a hint? Like weeks, months, could take until 2012?

    Well, I guess I'll find out soon enough if anyone sees a new post in such an old thread. Just thought I would try here before starting a new one.

    Concerning my initial question: Ajeh posted that this issue has already been solved in the next release. I just downloaded the 3 pages of changes made in version 1.5 and did not notice this item addressed. Can anyone tell me if it has been?

    In v1.5, anytime you have selected a shipping option then go to the shop and change products and the selected shipping option is gone and one needs to be selected, you should be seeing a message to alert you to pick a new selection ...
