Problem with credit card payments using PayPal express

My customer was having problems with Paypal Standard so after advice from this site I switched to Paypal express checkout which is working OK if the purchaser has a paypal account but isn't completing payments made by credit card. The site owner has put a transaction through to test it which hasn't completed. Are there any further setup requirements I need?

If a person wishes to pay by credit cart via PayPal they need a PayPal account.

How are you expecting it to work?

It should work as you expect.

I suspect you have a setting in your paypal account that is set to only accept from "confirmed" customers.
ie Those with paypal accounts.

The OP had been waiting for a response for 3 days. I had a gut feeling that there was something 'wrong' with my response but couldn't think what it was, nonetherless I knew that the instant I posted the slightest bit of 'misinformation' that *someone* would be there to 'correct' me, and provide the OP with something a little more positive to work with.

I just *love* the way I'm able to elicit help for other people in this manner, even if I do have to embarrass myself a little in the process
