You're right, I thought it would be simple to find, but i can't seem to find the basic "how to set up a product" at all
As the system has been changed/upgraded over the weekend i am guessing its just one of those loose ends, the new layout is much improved although the related FAQs that used to appear below the FAQ you were reading have gone (thats the only negative about the whole new system i have found)

Did you try going to the Advanced search and select FAQs/Articles/Tutorials and enter on the Keyword(s): Attribute and search for that?

Hi again Ajeh. Yes I tried that. There are loads of FAQs regarding actions after products have been defined -establishing attributes and adding products to categories for example- but nothing addressing the first step of adding products. That leaves me with the option of trial and error experiments with my sample Zen Cart.
