Hi Y'all,
Is it possible to have more than 1 category sidebox with a different name (instead of the word 'Categories') for each box?
Thanks,
Ed
Hi Y'all,

Yes, it is possible. How complex it will be depends on exactly how you want the boxes to be positioned and behave.
If you want separate groups of categories in boxes with headings in one column, that can be done by installing Categories Dressing and adding some stylesheet rules and defining the headings.
If you want the boxes in different columns, that may be possible with Categories Dressing depending on your needs. Otherwise, you could install one or more of the other categories menu mods from Plugins, or clone the categories sidebox, and modify their filter code as required (this requires PHP experience).
Thanks for the quick response.
What I want is a duplicate or two of the left category box, also in the left column, each with a different headline instead of 'Categories'.
I've downloaded the Cat Dressing file but I can't make head or tail of the undecipherable characters in that htm file.
I'm sure I did something wrong.
I think it is something connected with the new support site software - I saw someone mention a download arriving as .htm instead of .zip unless they explicitly selected .zip when they were using the Opera browser.
Does that sound like it could be the problem?
Your situation can definitely be handled by Categories Dressing without extra PHP coding, just setting defines in a file.

Well, as I said, the file comes down as .htm, not as zip.
I'm sure I could resolve this cat dressing issue if I could get the correct file. Just don't know how to get it.

This post mentions the exact problem you describe. Are you using Opera?
