Default Adding Tax to paypal page

    Hi There,

I understand paypal express checkout doesn't add tax because it is based on the customers location. My store only sells to the UK and only in the uk at a tax rate of 20%.

I was wondering if I could show the tax in paypal express checkout somehow without having to have someone say "Turn off the button"

    Thanks!
    Danny

I thought it would be as easy as finding the value zen-cart passes to Paypal and multiplying it by 1.2

    If only!

    Hi DrByte,

So my boss really wants the correct tax to display and ive been looking through all the different threads and come across:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...nd-local-taxes

It seems that guy actually had Paypal show taxes and wanted to get them off. This confused me immensely and it does seem like exactly what I want my store to do. But I cant get this to work!
If, however, I dont create an account and try to directly use Paypal Express checkout, when it takes me to the paypal screen, it shows taxes even though an address has not been entered for calculating taxes.
    and

Because the address is unknown, the Store address is used when you click the PayPal button on the shopping_cart
This sounds like exactly what I need but it doesn't work!

Both currently set up at shipping, I tried changing them both to store earlier but that didn't seem to affect anything.

So ... Am I correct in understanding that you don't care WHO is shopping, nor where they're from. You're just going to ALWAYS charge a 20% tax to EVERYONE?

    Yup.

We only sell to the UK and only have one zone setup which is the uk.

We want the 20% to show on the Paypal express checkout for everyone

    Thanks for the help! :)

Admin->Configuration->My Store ... what are your store's Country and Zone set to?
And do you have a tax rate set up for that specific country+zone combination?
