Any one seen or used anything like an offer system?

I was wondering if anyone has or has seen a way for customers to make an offeron an item?
I have some very unique items and I am willing to any reasonable offers as it were
I have not see anything like this yet or did I just miss it

There's an "Ask a Question" Plugin that allows a customer to (duh) ask a question about a product, sending an email similar to contact_us. You could customize (i.e. change the wording) for the ask_a_question code to have the customer make you an offer for the product.

The plugin has no overwrites and all its PHP files are specific to the plugin itself; it should work just fine in 1.5.0.
