    Default URL Change Admin Login Not Directing Correctly

    The URL of my store has changed. So I went into the two configure.php files and changed all of the HTTP_SERVER settings to go to the new domain name. The store seems to be working fine, but when I login to the admin section it takes me to the old URL. How do I fix that?

    Sounds like your admin configure.php file hasn't been updated.
    Remember, the configure.php files are read-only, so must be made non-read-only before you can save or upload changes.

    I updated both configure.php files. But I found another configure.php file in the admin section in the folder admin-->includes-->local. That was the file that was causing the problem. It was an exact duplicate of the configure file in the admin-->includes folder. I renamed it and that fixed the problem.

    Now my question is, what is this file?:
    admin-->includes-->local-->configure.php

    Can I get rid of it so it doesn't cause me problems in the future?

    The /admin/includes/local/configure.php file is intended for developer use only ... on their local/localhost PC.

    Yes, you can (and should) safely delete that file from your live server.
