Unable to install from directoy

I create a directory demo (mysite.com/demo) and try to install the new 1.5v into the demo folder for testing. But mysite.com/demo/zc_install/ does not work, always go to my home page mysite.com. What is wrong? Your help would be appreciated.

I do this all the time, so there's no reason it shouldn't work. You're uploading all the Zencart files and folders from a fresh zip file into the /demo folder on the server, and then pointing your browser to www .mysite.com/demo to start the installation ?

Yes, I uploaded all Zencart files to www .mysite.com/demo. When I browse mysite.com/demo/zc_install/, or mysite.com/demo/, always show up my home page mysite.com.

If I upload zencart files to subdomain demo.mysite.com, it is work.
Why mysite.com/demo doesn't? (I cleared all cookies and cache from beginning and restarted PC).
