Discount price for buying 2

Dear Experts,

I would like to add a function to my zencart.

When my customer buy 2 in a same item, they can get a offer price. May I know is there any module or setting for this?

This is a Quantity Discount module I've used in the past to give discounts to clients who buy X of a product but it's not been updated in a while so you may need to spend a bit of TLC on it to get it working for your shop: http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=135

I have used it successfully with 1.3.8 & it worked fine. In my case it was for a shop selling promotional materials, so you got discounts for 500 / 1000 etc.

The other one to mention is "Buy one get one free" http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1221 but with this, you don't set a price, instead you just get the 2nd item as freebie.

You may be able to make do with the existing feature already in Zen Cart.
From Catalog >> Categories/Products, select the product you want to give discounts on and click on the dollar sign icon on the far right of the product listing. This takes you to Product Info for the product you want to edit.
Next, click on the edit button to begin editing.
On the new page, click on add blank discounts to add the first five discount options. (You can add more if needed and any unused go away).
Unfortunately, the tutorial is not much help on this one. Just play around with the settings and you'll get the hang of it.

Note that Quantity Discounts are different than "Buy One, Get One." It just depends on what you want to do.

For example, let's say we have a product costing $29.95 for one and we want to have the second go for half price. What that means is that two would cost $29.95 x 1.5 (that's $44.925 for both). Next, let's figure out how to arrive at the $44.925 price.
With our discount, we set Discount Type to Percentage and the Discount Priced from to Price.
In the Minimum Qty for Discount 1, set it to 2.
Next, set the discount value to what each item will cost to 25. What this does is discount each item 25%. Since there are two items being purchased, this amounts to the same as 50% off one.

1. I try to keep in mind that 50% off the second would be half that percentage for each of the two items.
2. If buying three gets the customer one for free, the percentage would be 100% divided by three (33.3333%)

Hit the update button and you'll notice that the price to the customer for 2 of this item is now $44.92 and 3 would be $59.91. As you can see, you may need to adjust the percentages slightly as the three price should be $59.90.

With more info, I can be more specific, but hopefully this hasn't muddied the waters.

Hi all,

Newbie here. I have discount quantity set up but it doesn't seems working with salemaker. So now I would like to disable the discount qty. I have done the disable discount qty under attribute setting but still showing. PLEASE HELP!!!
