I would like to add a function in both the right AND left sideboxes. Is this possible? Thanks!

If, what you are asking is to have the same sidebox in both the left and right columns - then yes that can be done. Try searching the forum for that (I think I made a post on this subject some time ago) or post here again and I'll try to help.
