Additional Product images to the side of main image

I've done a search and I've tried to move code in the tpl_product_info_display.php as well as add more css rules but I can't seem to get what I want.

I'm intending to make my main product image larger about 500px wide (i'm also removing the right hand column) and want the additional images to show to the side of this on the right.

Increasing the main product size isn't the issue but I can't get the additional images to go where I want them too. I think it may have something to do with the tpl_columnar_display.php but I'm not sure how to change it so the additional images line up underneath each other on the right hand side of the main image.

I often use a table to help hold things in place in the tpl_product_info_display php

Perhaps you can try that to get the additional photos to generate next to the main image by moving blocks of code around.

just worked it out

I've moved the code around, set additional images to 1 per row in the admin settings and changed the width of that particular table.

I am looking to do something similar, only I would also like the add to cart button, main product image and additional images to sit in the same row. I don't know how to go about finding instructions to do something like that?
