Default Can I exempt one category from group pricing?

I set up one group pricing called wholesale. When someone in that group makes a purchase the discount is applied as it should be. My problem is that now I have one category of products that I would like to exclude from the group pricing. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to do this?

    Thanks

It is not straight forward. The standard zen group pricing works as an order total module. What that means is that it is calculated after the order has been first added up and does not take into account individual products.

The is a mod out there called something like online group pricing which changes that to altering the price of the product before it is added to the cart. If you can get that to work then it is easier to modify it to exclude certain categories but is still gong to take a bit of php coding.
