index page not showing

I have a problem with my new installation of Zen Cart 1.5.0 which was installed on a cpanel. The details of the installation are shown below:
Path : /home/asource/public_html
URL : http://cabinetrymart.com
I could not open the default page of zencart. I found the zencart is, instead of in the root directory, in the following directory:
/home/asource/public_html/zcadmin. To my understanding the zencart's index.php page should be in the root directory in order to show it when my domain, cabinetrymart.com is opened. The problem is that I do not know as how to move or install the zencart there. Need your help. Thanks in advance.

I seem to have the same problem. I successfully uploaded zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011 into the "public" area of my linux web host. I then changed the permissions as instructed and put the address into my browser, in order to launch the installation. It just comes up as a blank page or "can't find the server" message.

It's in a folder called Zencart in my public_html and I've registered the domain www.mytestshop.tk. Not sure where I've gone wrong. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you might have used an installer like Fantastico. In most cases, it's fantasticant.
Don't know of anyone on this forum that advocates using ANY auto installer. And, updating by these installers is NEVER endorsed.

Oops, I don't know anything about any installer? Do I need one? I've just followed the instructions I found in the html document which downloaded with the package.
It says:

In your browser, enter the URL to your new shop, and the Installer should automatically start.
Example: http://www.mydomain.com/catalog
- or - to start the installer directly, use: http://www.mydomain.com/catalog/zc_install

That's what I did and I'm still getting the following message:

Safari can’t open the page “http://www.mytestshop.tk/public_html...50/zc_install” because Safari can’t find the server “www.mytestshop.tk”.

So, I've overlooked something. Perhaps I need a separate installer? What would you advise?
