PayPal order not showing

I'm using 1.5 and when customers sign up, there is a record of their account but no new order is recorded. I only get the email from paypal saying they've paid. This also doesn't send confirmation emails to the customer. Help?

ETA: It took a couple of orders and recorded them on the admin screen but suddenly stopped for no apparent reason

Sounds like you're using Website Payments Standard, and something on your site is preventing PayPal's servers from telling your store about the completed payments.

Better to use the Express Checkout module instead, since it doesn't rely on after-purchase-notification to tell your store about orders. They are recorded immediately.

ok I've changed it to express. Hope someone orders soon so I can see if it works
