Text of the index pages doesn't load - indexDefaultMainContent

Earlier today I went and validated my code over a w3, after making some minnor changes and reformatting the text on the index page (define_main_page) the whole <div id="indexDefaultMainContent" class="content"> is missing from the index page. It's missing from the html source code.

All information is on the other pages.

I've spent the last 4 hours trying to retrace my steps. I checked my live sight against my test site and there seems to be no differences in code but the text isn't missing from my test site.

I've tested out the problem on 2 different templates on my store and it's the same for both so I don't think it's related to any of the custom templates either.

I also checked the files or my live site against my version (1.5) and there isn't anything unexpected in there.

So I'm not sure where to go from here.

I take it you have resolved this issue, as everything looks fine to me, and looking at the 'view source' tells me that your "missing" <div> found it's way back home?

Would you mind sharing what the problem AND what steps you took to resolve it, so others' who may have this same issue in the future can find this thread?

no not really I've just added the page text to the language file and uncommented the code to get it to work. It doesn't seem to work any other way.

Sorry that read like I didn't want to tell you how I fixed it. I meant it not really fixed but managed to define the text within languages/english/index.php file, then uncommented the code that surrounds text_main includes/templates/custom/templates/tpl_index_default.php
