Default Email a pre-filled shopping cart link?

    hello!

I need some help... I was wondering if there was an addon that could enable to shop owner to create a shopping cart filled with products and then copy a link to the same shopping cart for others to open and purchase?

Im not sure if thats even possible but its worth asking you guys.

    Cheers!

Ive been looking around the forum and havent found anything that could do this and I cant think of any way around it. The reason for needing this functionality is that the shop owner receives quotes by email for a list of products, These are prices using the website and them emailed back to the customer. It would be perfect if this email could include a link to the pre built shopping cart for them to simply checkout with as it saves them the time of navigating the site to find the products.

The shopping cart is not specific to the WEBSITE... is specific to a particular SESSION ID, and then becomes specific to a particular CUSTOMER when the customer logs in (or proceeds through checkout).

So "storing" a filled cart on the site is not the way to go.

HOWEVER, there MIGHT be a way to "emulate" the multiple "Add-Selected-Items-To-Cart" behaviour using elements of the HTML code generated on a products listing page.

    I'll investigate and come back...

Couldn't someone log in as the customer, fill the cart with the desired items and then notify the customer to verify the order and check out?

Sorry... not possible doing it the way I thought. that page sets a session id (as i suspected) and that is CUSTOMER SPECIFIC / VISITOR SPECIFIC...

i added a module i think called quick order (going by the url ) ill look for it now but it gave you a page to add multiple items to cart but you could use the url then to add products, might do your job, it was based on model number bit i changed it to barcode

here is a sample adding a helmet to cart

    http://www.onyourbike.info/index.php...818868&qty_1=1

    or a couple of items

    http://www.onyourbike.info/index.php...355737&qty_2=4

    this might help you out

Yes... I thought of the quickorder mod, but is is for a FIXED array of products, where the need is for a bespoke list.

AFO's suggestion sounds promising... and is the safest route as well...

This is what I was thinking of http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=583

As pointed out earlier, there's no shopping cart link per se, but the customer could log into his/her account after the cart's been filled and complete the transaction.

i thought he just wanted to email a list, maybe my links dont show the url great but its just

    index.php?main_page=quick_order&action=add_products

    &model_1=5023857333751&qty_1=2

    &model_2=5023857333720&qty_2=6

i have split down url to make it easier to read so he can make his list in this way but after model_1 you add model number and after qty add qty

    full url

    http://www.onyourbike.info/index.php...333720&qty_2=6

maybe not perfect but better than nothing
