Will this work on a test installation on localhost?
The captcha is showing up OK, but when I click the send button on the contact form it keeps giving me a red warning Please verify that you are not a robot.
No errors are showing up in the log folder.
v155f
So I just tried this on my live site 155f php5.6 and got the same red "Please verify that you are not a robot."
I modified the class.google_recaptcha.php file to comment out Reviews and Create Account captchas, as I only want this on my contact form.
Tested it and got the red alert.
Then I removed the <?php echo recaptcha_get_html(false); ?> line from my contact form, tested again and still got the same alert, even though the captcha box was not on the page.
So I've removed all files for now.
Any ideas on how I can debug this? No errors are showing in the logs folder.
Thanks.
Try viewing your browser's "Console Log", since that recaptcha is javascript/JQuery-dependent.
I'm back to localhost. Googles docs says localhost is allowed as long as it is declared as a domain.
https://developers.google.com/recapt...ain_validation
No errors in the console.
I am assuming that the extra template files in the folder v155-only are not required, since I am using the tpl_contact_us_default.php file in my custom template folder.
Is that not correct? Should I also upload the v155-only files?
You'll need to merge the /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates directory's template files with your custom template; there's only one line to be added in each.
OK Thanks for all your help. For whatever reason this is not working for me. With no error reports I can't pin down the problem.
Hi I have just upgraded from Recaptcha v1 to v2 and I cannot even get the ReCaptcha to show. I have followed the instructions carefully for 1.5.3 and still no go
