Define Pages editor adds 4 or 5 blank lines every time I save

When I use the Define Pages Editor from the Admin, it adds 4 or 5 blank lines to the beginning of my define_main_page.php.

What causes this? How can I avoid it ??

I originally pasted copied code from Front Page 2003 into the html editor. Then when I use the Define Pages Editor from the Admin, it adds 4 or 5 blank lines to the beginning.

It's never a good idea to paste copy into Zencart from any WYSIWYG editor, especially Front Page and Word. Such programs add a lot of extraneous styling that can conflict with what Zencart is trying to do, and may be the reason for your extra lines.

Better to paste (or enter) your copy as plain text and style it in the stylesheet, or use the HTML editor in the define pages editor to enter the copy in the first place.

I try this, and it never fails, if it's something I wouldn't want to re-type... it times out on me and I lose what I've done.
