free shipping and chargable shipping

Hi i am using version 1.3.9H and my site is www.thearmysurplusstore.co.uk
I have searched the forum for an answer to my problem and cant find an answer.

I offer free shipping on all orders over £30 in value but some items are heavy and I want to charge carriage for these
does anyone know how to do this.

For Free Shipping on orders over £30, how are you currently doing this?

Do you use the Modules ... Order Total ... Shipping ot_shipping and set this for Free Shipping on orders over 30.00 ... where no other shipping module(s) can show ...

Or, do you use Modules ... Shipping ... Free Shipping Options freeoptions and set the Total >= 30 ... where the Free Shipping Options freeoptions shows at the same time as all other shipping module(s) ...

Or, do you use another method ...

Can you get the specific name of the file being used by going to that module and reading if it reads next to the name:
Shipping ot_shipping
Free Shipping Options freeoptions
FREESHIPPING! freeshipper

your description is leaving out where you go in the Modules for setting this ...

Do you want to offer the Free Shipping as an Optional shipping method in addition to your other shipping module(s) or as the ONLY shipping method?

What other shipping method(s) are you using?

When these heavy items are in the cart, what type of shipping fee are you trying to charge?

Is it based on Weight of the Order or Weight of each of these Products?

How are these heavy Products best identified?

When the order is over 30, and these Products are in the cart, do you just need to add the extra fee for these Products based on their quantity?
