    Default 0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED Error When Trying to Access Admin

    Good morning

    I am unable to login as admin using my bookmarked link (I've also tried entering it manually and tried variations with and without www etc)

    When I do access the login.php page I get this message:

    0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
    in:
    [select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
    If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

    I have searched the forum for DB ERROR and DB ERROR NOT CONNECTED and gone through the 8 pages of results but I've not found any similar questions. The customer end of the website is functioning correctly

    I'm running a derivative of v1.3.9 - I'm not sure which letter as I cannot access admin
    I have no addons installed
    I have only made minor changes to the first install e.g. colours / fonts / backgrounds
    My hosting company is CloudNext. I have recently changed to them from Heart Internet. I paid them to transfer over the site. I cannot be sure that the admin login has worked since the changeover.

    If possible could someone point me in the right direction of a help topic / previous thread or let me know how to resolve the problem.

    With thanks

    Debbie

    Check your database configuration settings in /admin/includes/configure.php

    They should be the same as the settings you find in /includes/configure.php

    Don't mix these two files up, they are very similar to each other, but are not interchangeable.

    Cheers

    Thank you so much for your reply.

    I have accessed both the files you mention and have copied them into a word document so I can compare them side by side.

    There are indeed differences between them in terms of the DB settings.

    I believe the includes/configure.php is correct and the admin version incorrect.

    Is there a checklist for what I need to change or do I only change the following in the admin version:

    // define our database connection
    define('DB_TYPE', 'mysql');
    define('DB_PREFIX', '');
    define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost');
    define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', '****');
    define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', '****');
    define('DB_DATABASE', '****');
    define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false');
    define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'db');
    // for STORE_SESSIONS, use 'db' for best support, or '' for file-based storage

    I'd be grateful for your guidance.

    Regards

    Debbie

    You're a star

    Decided to do it anyway and it worked - I made the changes to the section above in admin/includes/configure.php and access now restored.

    Thanks once again for the guidance.

    You made it easy by posting enough relevant information so that I/we didn't need to ask further questions :)

    Others should take note.

    Cheers
