Access denied and Updating to 1.5 fundamental?

Now sometimes in the admin I get a error message saying "New Version Available v.AccessDeniedAccess Deniedxxxx" with a long string of characters. Any idea why this might be happening?

I would like to know if it's really necessary to update to 1.5 since I have a lot of custom made coding that will be hard to change to 1.5. Is there any safety concern by continuing to use the 139h version?

The "access denied" message should be gone now. Or will disappear within the next 30 minutes.

About the upgrade, I know it's always advisable, but at least there are not known vulnerabilities for 139h at the moment right?
