I have a customer who just signed up for an account. She objected to getting the standard "welcome" message, and is now demanding that she get NO emails at all from my store. Is there a way to do this? I only send the welcome message and the standard messages when a customer places an order (confirmation of the order and confirmation that the order has shipped.)
I don't consider these messages spam but evidently she does, as when I responded to her demand I got this reply from her:
This email is sent in accordance with the US CAN-SPAM Law in effect
01/01/2004. Removal requests can be sent to this address and will be honored
and respected
Any suggestions? I'm probably just going to delete her account but want to make sure I am not violating any laws here...
