    Default Want to "start fresh"

I am currently running ZC 1.3.9h with the following addons and a custom theme:

    Zen Lightbox
    Google Analytics
    Sitemap XML
    Reward Points
    Add Customer from Admin

First off before my question, when building my site I did NOT take good notes (which I learned I should have, after the fact). So with all the addons I'm not sure exactly what files were effected in the changes.

My question is this, I would like to start with a fresh install but retain all our customers/orders and products currently but would like to redo the site (theme, addons, etc) and do it the right way this time (keeping notes of changes).

So what is the best way to do this?

Should I simply upgrade to 1.5.x and redo the addons from there, or would you recommend installing 1.5.x in a sub folder and once the "new" site is ready, intergrate the database into it?

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatful!

Grab a fresh fileset for 1.3.9h and download your current fileset
Run winmerge or another file compare app on the file sets
Changed files can then be located and moved into the fresh fileset in their proper overriden locations

Then just upgrade in the normal way
