Strange Specials?

I was working on Specials when I noticed a few strange things. If I get to Specials by way of my Category named Specials, it will have the products in a grid (as I prefer) without any filter on top, with the last one entered displayed as the first one on the top left, even though they all expire on the same day. In other words, they are not in alphabetical order. They are in the order they were entered. Also, the product name and price is under the image.


Now, when I get to Specials from the Home Page using the link in the center box which brings up the Monthly Specials for October, the listings are reversed with the earliest entry on the top left and the text on top of the image and the price under the image.

I think it should be consistant throughout the site. What's the story?

Without seeing a link I can only assume but I think you are looking at two different listings, your own created listing and the standard ZC method/specials listing. Do you have a grid layout mod installed?

I like the grid, I was just curious why it displayed different from one link to another.

it adds the grid to the other listing pages too, have a read of the mod. it works alongside the grid layout.

Now I'm beginning to think I've been fooling myelf. I envisioned maybe 9 images (3 rows of 3 images) of Specials, and then it would be continued on the next page, and so on, for as many pages as I had Specials. Is that not how it works? The general idea was to have 6 to 9 Specials followed by 6 to 9 New Products with both continued on their own pages. Am I dreaming?

This refers to the Specials displayed on the Main Page. Can I limit them to a certain number and then have a link to the next page?
