    Default no order registered, returns to step 2/3

    Hi.

    v1.39h

    I have changed server (host), set-up all, and doing some test.

    I read about this issue, but apparently they are somehow different than this specific case.

    I place order, select Paypal, site takes me to Paypal page for details of payment, I insert all the info, go to review details, and when I click "pay now" I am taken back to step 2 of 3.

    I checked in admin and no trace of the order, same at the Paypal account, no funds added.

    I have done it twice, same result.

    Some more details:
    For the first try I see 4 log files (though I just noticed the folder permission is 755, instead of 777), that seem to be two doubled (duplicated). At the end of two of them I see

    GetExpressCheckoutDetails, Elapsed: 842ms -- Success

    In one of the two there are also these extra lines

    Response:
    Array
    (
    [TOKEN] => random string removed by me
    [TIMESTAMP] => 2012-10-21T12:20:24Z
    [CORRELATIONID] => random number removed by me
    [ACK] => Success
    [VERSION] => 60.0
    [BUILD] => 3926908
    [CURL_ERRORS] =>
    )

    Some extra info, I don't know if related, or not, in case please disregard.

    During login (SSL enabled) though not on regular pattern I get "wrong user/psw message" (100% positive about typing)

    Thank you

    I have a similar issue with a v 1.50 install
    I tested the site without SSL, and I was able to finalize the checkout process, whereas when enabled SSL, I get:

    "Errore PayPal non risulta in grado di finanziare la transazione. Per cortesia, scegli un diverso metodo di pagamento o controlla i parametri per il finanziamento nel tuo conto Paypal prima di procedere. (Transaction cannot complete.)" message.

    Translation:
    "Paypal error is not able to finance the transaction. Please choose a different payment method, or check the parameters before proceeding."

    On the log file I see among other info:

    [1] => X-VPS-Timeout: 90
    ... info ...
    DoExpressCheckoutPayment, Elapsed: 2572ms -- Failure

    Which I suspect is the culprit.

    Is it just a case/coincidence, or might it be due to the SSL?

    Thank you

    That's not related to SSL.

    PayPal is giving that message, not Zen Cart.
    PayPal is not able to fund the transaction. That could be because the buyer's account balance is too low, or their credit card isn't valid, or their bank account has a problem, or some other reason.
    The buyer can find out exactly why by contacting PayPal directly.

    Thank you DrByte.

    I'll investigate.

    What can you tell me about the v1.39 (the opening post) redirecting to step 2 without processing the order.
