Default Attributes not showing when applied to a product

    Hi,

I've somehow stopped the attributes from fully working.

I used to have them set up nicely but for some reason now they don't show up when view a product now. I can add them correctly to via the option name manager and then the attributes controller.

It's just they don't show up for some reason.

I tried using the default template again incase it was that but it still didn't show them up.

Are there any key files I can re-copy over inside the installation folder to repair the other ones relating to the ones for attributes incase they got corrupted somehow?

I'd be grateful of any help.

I even set up a new database and tried changing the configures to reflect the new DB but it still didn't do the trick.

    Puzzled :s

    Thanks in advance....

    Hi Kobra,

I have tried to go thru all that but still no joy, Something is definitely broken somewhere because when i try and add an option value for say a drop down when I press insert I get a WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.

Which is leading me to think some files have got messed up somewhere?

You can get a fresh download of your same version and expand it on your PC
    Then re-upload all admin files

Hi I didn't realise there were debug output log files....

I did have a quick look at them and it was listing some errors in some of the php files so i decided to copy everything all over again and start again from scratch.

So now they are all working again.

My only problem now is can it be possible to disable 0 value products from displaying in the product list? I know you can do it for 0 quantity by applying a couple of statements in the sql patcher.

Is it possible to do the same for price unless there's an option in the admin to handle it???

OH one more thing, is it possible to copy an attribute to every product or every category in one go without having to do it one at a time? That would be splendid...

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hmmm,

After searching these forums I'm still stuck on a method to try and add one products attributes to all other products in the store at the same time?

I know you can do this with the copy to category button in the attribute controller but my store will have over 100000 products and 100's of categories.

Is there no sql patch that can be run which says take product ID's XXX attributes and apply them to all products?
