Per unit/per category/per location shipping rates

Hi,

Trying to find the right shipping module or procedure to meet specific (though seemingly straight-forward) shipping rates. Nothing seems to work with the default shipping modules, and cannot find any advice or add-ons to help. Any advice would be helpful.

What I need is to apply flat rate shipping on a per unit basis, with different rates for different product categories, and finally based on destination. Something like this:

Sample Shipping rates:

T-shirt
Canada $7.50
US $7.50
International $10

Hoodie
Canada $10
US $15
International $20

So 2 t-shirts and a hoodie to the US would be 2 x 7.50 + 1 x 15 = $30.

Any advice is much appreciated.
