i am using a 1.3.8 template then try to install the Homepage layout but why my website can't show it out? i guess i might did something wrong but just don't know which part got problem....???

Did you read the installation instructions in the readme.html file? There is a manual edit.

Thanks for the reply. I am using the piccadilly posh template. I have tried removing everything from define main page and still no luck I can't seem to figure this one out. For some reason its like my original main page is still there, just to the bottom of the homepage layout.

I found in include/template/ there are one more folder name your_template is available. please someone intimate to me in which folder i have to upload my images in Preston_elite or in your_template folder?

If you wanted to change the the ribbon border, how would you go about doing that?

I want no sideboxes on the homepage, but I need them on everywhere else.

I am also using Variation 5.

Do you mean the border color around each of the images? If so, you can change this in the stylesheet_hover_effects_all.css:

    background: url("../images/bgimg1.jpg") no-repeat scroll center center #FFFFFD;
    border: 10px solid #your border color;
    box-shadow: 1px 1px 2px #E6E6E6;
    cursor: default;
    float: left;

If you do a search of the FAQ's section on this site you will see a tutorial about how to turn off the left and/or right hand column on the home page only.

I,m using 1.5.1 and can't get this one to work, leaves most of the main page as it was before uploading the mod. The full header, all side boxes and quite a bit below the mod section. I created a new test site at www.appletowne.com for viewing. Using the default template.

I was just trying to combine the two together so the site looks seamless.

Where I uploaded the Bristol background and header menu background images took over, that is basically how I wanted it with a few modifications.

I do not want the ribbon header and footer link background on the Hompage, I instead wanted the others like Bristol Lace template. I was wanting to know where the ribbon link background is located?

On the Homepage footer, is there anyway to make that background the same on as the Bristol header.

When I did add the templates together it made the Home, Log In, Account, Currenty, and all that go under the link background. Do you know how to fix any of these?

It looks like you have not uploaded all of the files correctly. Be sure to read the readme.html file for complete installation instructions.
