    Default .htaccess in V1.5.1

    Hi

I've finally got a merged version of V1.5.1 up and running in a test folder on another database on the same server as my original 1.3.8a.

I was unable to access my new test admin until I deleted the .htaccess on my new admin folder.

My cart was also broken until I deleted the .htaccess from my includes folder.

I tried pasting them both back to no avail.

Can anyone tell me why this would be so, and offer any suggetions to changing the .htaccess files without compromising my sites security.

    Thanks

    Craig

    Default Re: .htaccess in V1.5.1

    Who's your hosting company?
What operating system is your server running?
What webserver engine is your hosting company using? Is it Apache, or something else?
Have you read the "requirements" listed in the top of those .htaccess files, and had your host make the required changes to their server to accommodate those requirements?

If your host won't make the changes required to allow those security settings to work, then get them to write new .htaccess rules that will work on their server AND provide the same protections that the files that come with Zen Cart are designed to do.
