Allow Public Purchase of Some Items. Restrict All Others to Account holders

This may have been covered already but I don't find what I am looking for so please point me to the proper thread if it already exists.

We sell almost exclusively to health care practitioners, which is strictly regulated, but we do have a very few products that the public can buy. Is there a way (Plugin maybe?) that will allow us to restrict most products to account holders only but allow the few products to be purchased by the general public? Or something to the same effect - even if they have to have an account to purchase, but are restricted to the few products available to the public would be fine.
