Default uploading multiple images confuses me

    Hi!

I've read the tutorial about how to name files so that I can have multiple images in a single product.
Is there a way to upload an image from within the admin so that it is renamed and assigned to a given product? I'm running 1.5.0 in linux.
I tried choosing "do not delete previous image" but the preview showed that it still intended to replace the original and leave the original on disk. I already had Image Handler 4 installed, but it wasn't any help.
Please let me know if I'm overlooking something obvious.

    Thank you!

As you will have learned, ADDITIONAL IMAGES are automatically "recognised" by zencart when given appropriate NAMING.

    EG:

    MAIN PRODUCT IMAGE IS: picture.jpg
    FIRST ADDITIONAL IMAGE: picture_01.jpg
    SECOND ADDITIONAL IMAGE: picture_02.jpg
    THIRD ADDITIONAL IMAGE: picture_03.jpg

When you ADD a product, you assign the MAIN IMAGE to it: (picture.jpg)

    The others -:
    picture_01.jpg
    picture_02.jpg
    picture_03.jpg

... are best sent to the server via FTP

I uploaded my multiple images through FTP and that worked fine. The images automatically show up in the product record. The problem I'm facing is that they don't show up on the product page. Only the main image shows up. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout - Show Product Additional Images should be set to 1. If it is, give us an example of your main product image name and the names of the additional images for that product.

Just checked and yes, it is set to 1.

    My file names are:

    CCG_Alpha_WhimsicalFlowers_Sample.jpg
    CCG_Alpha_WhimsicalFlowers_Sample2.jpg

When viewing the product in Image Handler I can automatically see both images.
