    Default FedEx Module Install/Setup

I have downloaded the FedEx plugin from Numinix but am having trouble finding installation instructions. They say to "2.Upload all files in this package while maintaining the directory structure" but it does not specify which files to upload where.

I would appreciate any help in identifying which files need to be uploaded and to what directory.

    Thank you

What that means is just drag and drop the 'includes' and 'docs' folders from the plugin to the root (top) directory of your Zencart installation. All the folders and files inside are already in the proper places. Most Zencart plugins work this way.

I am not sure I understand, in the root directory there is already a doc folder so if I try to copy the FedEx one there it wants to overwrite the current doc folder which I don't want to do. If I put the folders at the root how do the shipping files get to the shipping folder, languages to the language folder, etc.? Sorry if this is a basic question but am semi new to Zencart.

    Thanks

You can't overwrite folders. If you drag the 'docs' folder to your site root which already contains a 'docs' folder, all that will happen is that the files from the plugin's 'docs' folder will be added to the server 'docs' folder. If there is a file in both with the same name, you'll need to decide if you want to overwrite it.

If you open the 'includes' folder from the plugin, you'll see that it already contains the 'languages' folder, etc. Dropping the 'includes' folder from the plugin to the root of your store will place all the plugin files in their proper places.

I have added these two files as you said and it installed them. However, when I go to Zencart Shipping Modules I don't see the FedEx option to install. Also when I go to the modules folder I don't see fedexwebservices.php. By the way thank you for the help I believe I am getting closer just missing something.

    Hello,

New to zencart. I am having difficulty getting the fedex module from Numinix to work properly. I have successfully installed and configured the module, however I am unable to view shipping rates (only USPS is visible) and I get an "Error in processing transaction." message when attempting to check out. I am not sure where to begin to trouble shoot. Any help is appreciated. I have an account and meter number through fedex.

Make sure that you obtain the FedEx add on from his site as the one posted in our plugins is out of date ...
