red flag Why is there an hyphen in some of the product listing column header names ?

Why is there an hyphen in some of the product listing column header names ?

I get it on my site in the product "Weight-" column, but I've also seen it on a demo site for the "Item Name-" column.

i.e. Surely it should just read "Item Name" without the hyphen added to it.

I can see where "Weight" test description is set in the includes/languages/english/index.php
Seems to be assigned to TABLE_HEADING_WEIGHT where I can see another reference to it
    in includes/modules/product_listing.php

I can't however see how this hyphen gets added onto the column heading text

Is there a fix for this ?

The below URL links to a demo site that shows what I'm talking about for "Item Name-" that should surely read "Item Name" without the hyphen on the end of it.

If you click on them, you will see they are for sorting the list in DESC or ASC Order ...

It's not a hyphen, it's a minus sign. Clicking on that header name will take you to one product below the current one. You can change it to a plus (or other character) in admin.

That is a "minus" sign and denotes the sort order
Click on the title and see it change to a "+" sign

Ahh. OK thanks all. Hopefully I can make it blank.

    Admin > Configuration > Product Listing >
    Product Listing Ascending Sort Order
    Product Listing Descending Sort Order

Set both to blank. The sorting will still work, but there will be no indication in the heading.

Alternatively, you could expand the markers to be more comprehensible, so people know there is an option (many probably have no idea they can change the sort order to suit their desires). Something like
    Code:
     (asc)
     (desc)
